Warranty

At BMR Supply, we stand behind the structural integrity and professional caliber of the medical tools, laboratory instruments, and research equipment in our catalog. We recognize that precision and reliability are paramount in scientific environments. This Warranty Policy outlines your coverage, its limitations, and the exact steps required to file a claim. By purchasing from bmrsupply.com, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Warranty Coverage Overview

Because our catalog includes both distributed third-party products and proprietary BMR Supply-manufactured instruments, warranty coverage is determined by the origin of the product. Review your order confirmation or product listing to identify which category applies to your item.

Third-Party & Distributed Products

OEM Pass-Through Warranty

Covered exclusively by the original equipment manufacturer's warranty. Terms, duration, and remedies are governed by OEM documentation. Typical coverage ranges from 90 days to 1 year.

BMR Supply Proprietary Tools

1-Year Limited Warranty

BMR Supply warrants proprietary manufactured instruments against verifiable defects in materials and craftsmanship for one (1) year from the original confirmed delivery date.

2. Third-Party Products — OEM Pass-Through Warranty

For products that BMR Supply resells, distributes, or fulfills directly from third-party manufacturing partners:

  • Manufacturer's Terms Apply: All warranty rights, durations, and remedies are governed exclusively by the original equipment manufacturer's documentation included with the product or available on the manufacturer's website.
  • No Independent Extension: BMR Supply does not independently alter, extend, supplement, or warrant third-party products beyond what the OEM explicitly provides. We make no additional representations regarding the fitness, durability, or performance of third-party items.
  • Claim Assistance: If a distributed product exhibits a component defect within the OEM warranty window, our support team will assist by providing purchase documentation, serial number records, or by facilitating direct contact with the manufacturer's service division. This assistance is provided as a courtesy and does not constitute an assumption of warranty liability by BMR Supply.
  • Warranty Void Conditions: OEM warranties are voided under the same conditions as those described in Section 4 of this policy, in addition to any manufacturer-specific exclusion conditions documented in the product's included warranty card or manual.

3. BMR Supply Proprietary Tools — Limited Warranty

For professional instruments and custom research tools produced directly by BMR Supply under our own brand:

  • Coverage Period: One (1) year from the original confirmed delivery date as recorded in your order confirmation.
  • What Is Covered: Verifiable defects in raw materials, component assembly, and structural craftsmanship that are present at the time of manufacture and are not the result of post-delivery handling, use, or environmental conditions.
  • Our Remedy Options: If a structural or mechanical defect is verified by our engineering team during the coverage period, BMR Supply will, at its sole and absolute discretion:
    • Repair the tool using certified replacement components;
    • Replace the tool with an identical or functionally comparable model; or
    • Issue a store credit or refund corresponding to the original purchase price.
  • Single Remedy: BMR Supply's obligation under this warranty is limited to one of the above remedies. We are not required to provide multiple remedies for a single defect claim, nor to offer compensation beyond the original purchase price.
  • Non-Transferable: This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It does not extend to subsequent owners, institutions that received the tool as a secondary acquisition, or users who obtained the product through any channel other than a direct purchase from bmrsupply.com.

4. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty applies exclusively to structural and manufacturing defects. It does not cover issues arising from post-delivery conditions. The following are strictly excluded from all warranty coverage:

Normal Wear & Tear Gradual degradation, blade dulling, cosmetic surface scratches, finish wear, or material depletion resulting from standard laboratory use over time.
Sterilization Misuse Corrosion, pitting, or structural breakdown caused by autoclaving or chemical sterilization at temperatures or concentrations exceeding the tool's specified thresholds.
Improper Handling Damage from drops, impacts, accidents, unauthorized modifications, structural alterations, or deployment outside the tool's intended application.
Environmental Damage Degradation from storage in corrosive, damp, or uncalibrated environments that compromise the metallurgical or material properties of the instrument.
Unauthorized Repair Any tool that has been opened, serviced, modified, or repaired by anyone other than authorized BMR Supply personnel or an OEM-certified service center.
Misapplication Use of the instrument in procedures, environments, or on materials for which it was not designed, rated, or specified by BMR Supply or the OEM.
Missing Documentation Claims submitted without a valid proof of purchase, original order number, or required photographic evidence as described in Section 5.
Expired Coverage Any claim submitted after the warranty period has expired. BMR Supply will not honor claims for items beyond their coverage window under any circumstances.

5. Limitation of Liability & Consequential Damages

Under no circumstances shall BMR Supply, its owners, officers, employees, manufacturing partners, or logistics vendors be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from a product defect, warranty claim, or remedy failure. This limitation applies regardless of whether BMR Supply was advised of the possibility of such damages, and includes but is not limited to:

  • Failed laboratory experiments, corrupted research data, or loss of institutional findings.
  • Project downtime, operational delays, missed deadlines, or lost revenue.
  • Collateral property damage or facility contamination resulting from instrument or component failure.
  • Personal injury resulting from improper use, misapplication, or use of a product outside its intended specifications.
  • Costs incurred from sourcing replacement tools from third-party vendors during the warranty resolution period.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In such cases, the above limitation shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

6. How to File a Warranty Claim

All warranty requests must proceed through our standardized review pipeline. Claims submitted outside of this process will not be accepted.

  1. Initiate the Review: Contact our technical support team at [email protected] or via our contact form. Include your original order number, the product name and SKU, the purchase date, and a written description of the defect. Claims must be submitted within the active warranty period.
  2. Submit Visual Evidence: Provide clear digital photographs or high-resolution video footage specifically illustrating the material defect or mechanical failure. Evidence must clearly show the affected area, the full product, and the product's identifying label or serial number. Insufficient documentation will delay or disqualify your claim.
  3. Await Engineering Assessment: Our team will review your submission within 3–5 business days and communicate whether the claim is approved, denied, or requires physical inspection. BMR Supply's determination regarding whether a defect falls within warranty coverage is final.
  4. Warranty Return Authorization (WRA): If physical inspection is required, our team will issue a Warranty Return Authorization number and a designated return address. Do not ship the item without a WRA number — unauthorized returns will be rejected. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs to our facility. BMR Supply will cover return shipping for confirmed defective proprietary tools only.
  5. Resolution: Once the item is received and inspected at our facility (typically 5–10 business days), BMR Supply will proceed with the approved remedy — repair, replacement, or refund — within 14 business days of inspection completion.

7. Warranty Claim Denials

BMR Supply reserves the right to deny any warranty claim that does not meet the criteria outlined in this policy. Denied claims will be communicated in writing with a clear explanation. You may request a one-time review of a denied claim by submitting additional evidence within 14 days of the denial notice. BMR Supply's final determination after this review is binding.

Items returned in connection with a denied claim will be shipped back to the customer at the customer's expense. If the customer declines to pay return shipping within 30 days, the item may be disposed of at BMR Supply's discretion.

8. Governing Law

This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this warranty shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions set forth in BMR Supply's Terms and Conditions.
